Bendito
Ranch is located in the Waterberg region of Limpopo province around 3 hours drive from Johannesburg. The closest town is Mokopane.

The farm is a great combination of savanna, bushveld, wetlands and very distinctive granite
outcrops.

Accommodation consists of a rustic farmhouse, bush campsites and even stables for your horse.

There are 3 bush campsites; Impala, Kudu and Waterbuck;

  • Kudu is a medium site that will accommodate 2 off-road trailers or tents or 1 off-road
    caravan. All the sites have a fire pit, bin and water at the ablutions.
  • Impala is a small site that will accommodate 1 off-road trailer, rooftop or ground
    tent.
  • Waterbuck is ideal for larger groups and will easily accommodate 2 off-road caravans. It
    also has a set of two ablutions.

All the ablutions are Central Kalahari-style open air bucket showers and pit toilets. Water containers are provided to heat water for your shower next to the fire. These work well but you’ll need to handle them with gloves as they get really hot obviously. The bucket can be lowered so you can put in your hot and cold water and then raise it again for a nice hot shower.

The campsites are accessible with high-clearance vehicles and off-road trailers and caravans however there are some sections on the farm that require four-wheel drive.

Activities include game drives, hiking, mountain biking as well as horse riding (with your own horse that is). As for camping, Bendito is one of the most scenic and peaceful spots I’ve been to in a long while.
